Misty joined Northwest Animal Eye Specialists in 2009 after relocating to Washington from the Portland area, where she was born and raised. She is currently working as a customer care representative but is being cross-trained to assist the doctors as well. She is a registered Veterinary Medication Clerk. She had a good deal of experience in the field before joining Northwest Animal Eye Specialists as she is going on her 9th year in veterinary medicine!
Misty is in the field of veterinary medicine for the same reason as the rest of us: She loves animals! She is also fascinated by the many advancements taking place in veterinary medicine. Her favorite part of this job is the staff, which she feels is just great. She notes that everybody is just so nice to work with.
Misty's favorite type of animal is a dog. Her own pet is a 4-year-old miniature Chihuahua named Kharma, who she has had since Kharma was 8 weeks old. Kharma is a happy, friendly dog who loves everybody!
One of Misty's favorite things to do with her free time is to go down to Oregon to visit friends and family. She enjoys the beach and hiking, at least during warmer weather.
