Emily is a full-time receptionist at our Kirkland location. She joined us in early 2019 but had been in the veterinary field for almost a year prior to that. She will obtain her Veterinary Medication Clerk License soon and is currently working on a veterinary technician training course to become an LVT one day!
Emily’s favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is getting to see the love in owners’ eyes and the joy as their animal recovers. She says she really admires people that give everything to their pets. Aside from ophthalmology, she finds veterinary reproduction very interesting. She loves the way the whole body works together and especially loves getting to see pregnancy X rays because you can see all the tiny baby bodies!
At home, Emily shares her life with an adorable exotic shorthair named Squink who is the love of her life. She has had many cats throughout her life, including 5 that now belong to her mom and 2 that belong to her dad. Emily is from Oklahoma and says she still misses the thunderstorms and will turn on white noise rain to help herself relax! In her free time, she loves to play video games, do creative writing, and dress Squink up in terrible clothes and do photo shoots with him.
