Kim is one of our full-time licensed technicians at our Kirkland location. She joined our team full time after having worked with us intermittently as a relief technician. She is incredibly experienced in veterinary medicine having been in the field for over 15 years now! Her favorite aspects of veterinary medicine are working directly with the patients and being able to make a sick or injured patient feel better. She loves helping to turn things around and seeing them go home happy. Besides ophthalmology, she has special interests (and experience) in surgery, critical care, and emergency medicine.
Kim has several domestic medium hair cats named Ike, Petey, and Hardy. Hardy is a rescue cat who was born with the unusual condition Pectus Excavatum (a congenital deformity of the thoracic wall). Petey is also a rescue who came from MEOW cat rescue and Ike came from The NOAH Center. Kim is also a dog lover but unfortunately said goodbye to her beloved Chihuahua and Rat Terrier mix named Penguin in the summer of 2018. Penguin came to the clinic with Kim every day and we all miss her sassy, crazy attitude.
