Sara is a Veterinary Assistant who works full time at our Renton location. She has been doing wildlife rehabilitation, veterinary assistant work, and zookeeping since 2006. Her veterinary assistant work has included experiences at several emergency clinics as well as a day practice prior to joining NWAES. She says she enjoyed emergency medicine since it allowed her to help pets and their parents through an especially challenging time. Her favorite aspect of veterinary medicine in general is helping pets be happy and healthy as well as comforting emotional and stressed out pet parents. She lives for tail wags, puppy kisses, and kitty purrs! Sara holds a few interesting certifications including certified wildlife rehabilitator and open water scuba diver.
Sara currently has one dog named Diva who is a Golden Retriever mix. She is originally from Michigan and moved to Washington in 2014. She loves to get outdoors and go hiking, backpacking, camping, mountain climbing, kayaking, bouldering, and tree climbing. She also enjoys photography, reading, drawing, and painting.
